1/6/2008 What the f**k is this Yeah what, im making an article for my blog? WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH ME. Oh well im just bored, im on holidays atm and ive got nothing to do. Ive started to learn guitar which is alright, im learning to play 'Hey there Delilah' by plain white t's and its comming along quite well.
Christmas and New Years was awesome, on christmas spent the day playing CoD4 (hawt game btw), hanging out with family and eating awesome food. New Years was where it was at though, hung out with a group of friends and got trashed. We decided to give each other presents too, taking advantage of post-christmas sales : D Fucking clever yeh. I got a giant monkey plushie doll thing called Curious George, fucking awesome.
Next morning however, hung over, mouth tasting like an ash tray, I had to walk in the heat in my 'formal' suit for half an hour, carrying this giant monkey thing. Mind you I got plenty of odd looks from passers by, but I couldn't care less. All in all very enjoyable.
6/21/2006 Im back Hello everyone, I dont know why but talkin on MSN and seeing Sky King on msn jsut flooded back memories of good times on squizzle. There were certain people that made this site worthwhile and im glad to see that most of them havn't given up on squizzle.
Anyway, im not exactly the 'blogger' type so dont expect much from me, so school. Its been good lately, lot of pressure though because im in the top class, teachers expect so much more from us than other kids but i guess they just want us to succeed. This year my two most hated subjects are Woodwork and PE, Woodwork because the teacher would rather spend his time talking to the surfies than help us with our work, then he b*@&h's at me because i dont get enough work done, maybe if i had some HELP and PE because the teachers just a total ass.
Outside of school things are looking ok in some aspects and really bad in others, theres alot of 'crews' and 'gangs' forming and it just seems to make everything alot more complicated. Everyones talking behind everyone elses backs and all it does is cause trouble, some bunch of fags calling themselves 'the hoodz' (Gay, i know) have been the worst though. They are mainly just kids in my school acting tough but they have a few older guys from outside that they've been using as lets say 'ammo' for inspiring fear in everyone.
A friend of mine we'll call eye-ae-eye-en has been getting a bit caught up in all of it, its not his fault though. 2 of these people from this 'hoodz' crew have been giving him a hard time and then they start saying stuff about him and now hes in shit. Just today me and him got on a bus and there they both were with a mate of theirs, hes about 19 years old. The funniest part is, the ones who are causing all the trouble are the biggest pussies, they're in the same year as me and my friends and they all have knuckle busters and that shit but they won't fight you even if they got paid to.
Ill leave it at that for now but ill give you a picture of the sky down in the Southern Hemisphere, my dads into Astronomy and Astrophotography so he does pretty good shots. http://filenuke.com/yourfiles//1150891594.bmp Its sagittaruis and Jupiter rising and got a 2 page spread in a magazine.
Well I had my Yearly exams in week 4 and its now week 8 and im pretty happy with my results =D. I did good in everything just about exept Maths and Geography... but the maths test was crap cause my class gets 14 pages of difficult questions and another class got a 7 page test which had a section asking them to name shapes... LIKE WTF!! then the teacher is pissed off at the class cause the average was 51%... well f*&k her... how bout we name some f*&king shapes for a test!
Yeah besides that I got first in science, Software and did good (not first place good) in English and Geog so im somewhat happy. Anyway now that the Term is nearing an end alot of classes (Except maths... the teachers a Bi*^h) are becoming a bludge (Bludge = Not doing much and just relaxin). Lately its been movies or just playing coin footy... such a random game but a good time killer.

See we've made alot of important inventions like the dualflush toilet and the underwater pc... lol. To finish it off ill give you a nice pic of a local bird.
Ok so we take off from the previous article (read it if you haven’t read it already!).
So they would stay at ANZAC cove for around 8 months fighting the Turks in the harsh conditions. One event in the Gallipoli campaign that is held regretted is the charge of the 3rd light horse brigade at the Nek.The 3rd light horse brigade didn’t have their horses at Gallipoli, as the terrain was too rugged to have them.On that day 4 waves, 150 men each, from the 8th regiment and the 10th regiment were to attack a Turkish trench to help British forces land at a beach.
The charge was to happen at 4:30am; with a bombardment before the charge to force the tightly packed Turkish soldiers to abandon their trench… but it didn’t go right. The bombardment went 7 minutes early and thus gave the Turkish plenty of time to get back in their trenches and get ready and man their machine guns.
So the 8th regiments first wave went out of the trench and ran for the Turkish trenches and along side them ran Colonel White. The area was a bottleneck and the Turks had plenty of machine guns and plenty of rifles so the first wave fell.Exactly 2 minutes after, the second wave did likewise with bravery and without hesitation.Men fell before leaving the trench. A quote from Lieutenant William Cameron:
We saw them climb out and move forward about ten yards and lie flat. The second line did likewise ... As they rose to charge, the Turkish Machine Guns just poured out lead and our fellows went down like corn before a scythe. The distance to the enemy trench was less than 50 yards yet not one of those two lines got anywhere near it.
During the charge of the second wave though there are rumours that some men had made it to the trench at the very right had side… but sadly they soon fell too… this is only rumour though.
Within another half-an-hour the 2 other waves, from the 10th regiment, went on with the charge even after seeing their friends fall, and they too, met the same fate. This charge was self-sacrifice and in the end some sources say the British were sitting on the beach drinking tea… some historians see the charge of the Nek as a waste of life, others not, but I see it as soldiers hearing the call of their fellow man in need and doing what was needed whatever the cost be.
In this I must also state that although the ANZACS had bad conditions for the Turks it was about as bad… or worse. They only had 1 train to bring supplies, evacuate dead etc. making it very harsh.
6/25/2005 Australia and World War I Before World War I Australia had always been part of the British army and had kept close ties to her mother country but in World War I Australia would fight for the first time as the AIF (Australian Imperial Forces) at Gallipoli. As soon as war broke out men signed up in the thousands and were sent to Egypt to train instead of Britain because the training facilities in Britain could not cope with the number of people that signed up.
Many kids as young as 16 signed up and even a 14 year old boy, Jim Martin, signed up and died in 1915 and was thought to be the youngest ANZAC. The gallipoli campaigne had been a disaster though. Inaccurate maps and bad currents had made the landing completely wrong and instead of a safe beach head they landed at a thin strip of beach which is now known as ANZAC cove.
The eager and couragous soldiers leaped out of the row boats before even landing at the beach and stormed through the water, across the beach and climbed the steep hill to capture the first turkish trench with only their bayonets. Moments later the soldiers climbed another almost perpendicular cliff to capture the second Turkish trench where the stale mate would stand for almost 8 months.
Ok this is it for this article because I don't feel like writing the rest now so I will continue on this in my next article.
This is a picture of the terrain the ANZACS scaled to capture the Turkish trenches.
Here is another pic taken from a place very close to where I live (no not those houses in the back) at a park called 'The Gas Works' yes there is a history to the name but I will not go into that.
6/24/2005 Hmmm blogs (6:00pm Friday) ok 1. So its getting to be the end of term 2 and I'm having my half yearly exams which may seem weird and crazy to you because you've got ur 12 WEEK 'summer vacation' well guess what we dont have 12 week holdiays we get 12 weeks holiday spread out during the whole year in three 2 week holidays and a 6 week holiday at the end of the year. Although I guess this seems logical because being the apathetic, lethargic, forgetful Australians we are after 6 weeks of of holidays we've nearly forgotten all the math, science and other knowledgable stuff... except for me cause im smart. Haha.
Some Historic facts about australia:
Australia was originally thought of as just a british jail in 1788
Governor Maquarie was the first person to see Australia as more than a jail
Sir Edmund Bartan is said to be the father of federation
Australia federated in 1st of January, 1901
To finish it off ill give you a photo of the beautiful sunset at sydney
